Branding yourself first and then your internet business is really an important point to consider. If you think about it, most of the well know successful internet marketing guru’s are known by their name even more than their product and it is their name that sells the product, as people will generally buy something if they believe in the person who is selling it.

This is something that can work equally well whether your business involves selling products or a service. Here are a few tips on how to go about branding yourself, because once you personally become known as a person of integrity and an expert in your field, people will buy from you, no matter what you are selling.

1.  Remember this: people like to deal with people and as the internet is very impersonal, by inserting yourself into the equation, you are making it more personal, so put your picture onto your website so that anyone visiting can see what you look like. This will give them a feeling of actually knowing you.

2.  You can brand yourself by writing a report on how to make money with online marketing, with some step by step ideas of how to do it, put your picture on the report as well, and give this away. Offer it to everyone on your email list and give them permission to give it away to their friends. This is a great opportunity to brand yourself virally.

3.  Promote this report on social networking sites and also in forums by including a link to it in your signature. Use a form to your autoresponder where they will have to give their name and email address to receive the report.

4.  Include the report in your email signature, and concentrate on promoting the report rather than your blog or website, get yourself known first.

5. Make sure that you have a sign-up form prominently displayed on your blog and website for anyone to get the report from there as well.

By getting this report out to as many people as possible, you are branding yourself as an expert in your field and because people will be seeing your picture they will begin to feel that they know you and can believe what you have to say. Your goal is to brand yourself in your Internet based business. You do that by getting your name and picture out as many ways as possible!

If you have some money that you would like to invest into an internet based business but limited marketing skills on how to do it, and very little time to spend learning then this article will give you some ideas of how to get started.

One of the most popular methods used for making money has been with using direct mail. Many businesses have used this form of advertising and marketing their businesses and keeping their name in front of potential customers consistently.

This method works just as well with email marketing and is done using a very similar strategy as direct mail; it is one of the best ways to make money on the internet today and can be done quickly and easily even if you don’t have any internet marketing skills.

To make money with email marketing you could start off by purchasing co- registration leads and importing them into an autoresponder. There are lead companies who will recommend an autoresponder and import the leads on your behalf.

You don’t need any experience to buy leads, but you do need some skill to be able to sell to these leads in your mailing list. This would be a good time to spend some money in outsourcing.

By outsourcing the task of creating follow up emails to an experienced writer, you would stand a far better chance of making the sales that you need to build a successful business. You could have them create 200 word email messages, say up to 100 of them for you to start with. These could then be loaded into your autoresponder and they could be set to go out every 3 to 4 days, which would give you approximately a year of content to start with.

In case you are wondering what sort of content you would have them write about and what you would sell, here are a few options:

1.  If you don’t have a product of your own, you could consider selling affiliate programs. Begin by sourcing programs and products that you can promote for free.

2.  You could find a good home business opportunity and promote that to your list of subscribers, and gradually add other products as your list grows.

3.  You could consider hiring a virtual assistant who can help you to investigate other products and services that you could continue to promote to your list as these people will be your potential customers for many years to come.

Keep in mind that your list will only grow and be useful to you as long as you keep in touch with these people on a regular basis and learn to build an ongoing relationship with them. They will not remain on your list for very long if they feel that you are only trying to sell to them.

An extra method of getting traffic to your internet business opportunities would be by growing your downline across a few different traffic exchanges by using the downline builder that is offered on your main traffic exchange program which is also a type of affiliate program.

Whenever you join a traffic exchange (T.E.) you are given a reference number which is actually an affiliate number and you can earn bonus credits or money every time you recruit a new member to the traffic exchange. What a downline builder does is that it takes advantage of the fact that many traffic exchange users generally belong to more than one T.E.

When you click on the Downline Builder button on your main traffic exchange in the member’s area, you will see a list of several other traffic exchanges there and if you belong to any of those you can then enter your affiliate number for each one of them on the list.

If there are any T.E.’s there that you don’t belong to, you can easily join them through a link that is available right there and you can then add them to the downline builder list.

So what can you gain by doing this?

Whenever anyone that you refer to the T.E. joins other exchanges through the downline builder, they will automatically be placed into your downline on whichever exchanges they join and you will then earn extra credits and in some cases money from those exchanges. You will also be able to send email messages to the people who are in your downline and build a relationship with them.

The benefit of doing this is that the more T.E.’s you are able to generate credits on the more traffic you will get to see your main internet business opportunities.

You can join the downline builder on each of your favorite traffic exchanges that you surf, with your affiliate links that are on the first one, and build your downlines there as well. In this way you will be building your downlines across several different traffic exchanges, but remember that your main focus still needs to remain on your main business opportunities and recruiting people to your main list.

So to summarize, it is a good idea to use traffic exchange downline builders but do not spend the major part of your time or too many credits in promoting traffic exchanges, your main focus still need to be on your own business.
