By doing this, you will be able to keep them updated on the latest things you are offering for sale. Therefore, whenever they are ready to hire or purchase your product, you are just in their inbox. And having an effective and simple method for them to be part of your list will greatly elevate your sales and list numbers. Here are some tips on how to increase your opt-in rate.
Offer your visitors only a single choice:
You most probably know about one banana websites, invite site or single action website; which as the name suggests, is typically that. You are providing only a single option for the visitors – an invitation for signing up to your email list through your free e-zine, eBook, special report, checklist and many more. They get some freebies when they provide you with their email addresses. It’s real, therefore try it.
Remember, a testimonial or two on a website invite never hurts.
Write enticing copy:
You should remember the fact that people have a tendency to skim the things they read online, therefore, you should ensure you have a headline that can attract the attention of internet users and a couple of brief copies which describe how your visitors would benefit when they sign up for your list. Ensure it always answers the most important question in the mind of a visitor, “how can I benefit?”
Put two form fields only: For the first name and the primary email.
When you capture a person’s name and his email address, it’s easy to personalize future correspondence with this person. This has been shown to enhance response rates. If you address a given email to a person directly, there is a feeling of enhanced connection; hence there is a possibility of positive response to your emails.
When you request a primary email address, a lot of people will grant it in comparison to back-up email addresses that are rarely looked at. You will be able to obtain quality email addresses when you request for the primary ones and this limits bounce-backs. Therefore, the emails you send will be received by your target audience. Putting two form fields only usually make it easy for people to sign up, as you simplify the process for them.
Create a conspicuous submit button:
Just like when you have a one-action website, you intend to make the things you want your visitors to do clear. For example, you can use a submit button like ‘send me the ecourse’, ‘subscribe’ or ‘sign me up now”.
