Some Simple Ideas that will Boost Your Email List Building Results
If email list building is new to you or you just have not had much success with this aspect of your legitimate online businesses then you are probably feeling quite frustrated or even overwhelmed. The good new is that there are some simple ways that you can use to boost your email list building efforts.
Many people get so caught up in creating their email messages that they overlook the most important part of the process, and that is getting people to actually sign up to their email opt-in list in the first place. No matter how fantastic your email campaign is, it is useless if nobody sees it.
Here are some simple ideas that you can implement to dramatically improve your opt-in rate and increase the size of your targeted email list.
Make sure that your email opt-in form is in a prominent position on your website and that it is highly visible. If you have a small sign up form that just says enter your name and email here for my newsletter, there is a pretty good chance that you are not getting too many sign-ups. If building an email list is your main priority then it needs to look like a priority when people visit your business website, it must attract their eye, and hold their attention, because if it doesn’t you stand no chance. At the very least be sure to place it above the fold.
Give them a reason! You will find that the majority of online marketers are trying to build an email list, have probably these visitors have skipped over many different opt-in forms before arriving on your website. So give them a reason to sign up on your form. If you want something from them such as their name and email address, you will need to give them something of value in return.
This could be something as simple as a free report with information that is critical to their online business success, or an e-book that they can benefit from. If does not really matter what it is, provided it has some real value to them, remember that people always want to know what is in it for them.
A good idea is to have more than one opt-in form on your website. The reason being that many people have developed blindness to email sign- up forms, and they just do not even see it when it is above the fold, so give them another chance by adding an opt-in form at the bottom of each page or even have a drop down or fold up form.
Social media sites or forums are a good place to direct people towards your opt-in form to build an email list. It does not matter where you are, if you offering something new, be sure to have an opt- in form for them to give you their name and email address so that you can build an email list of subscribers who will potentially be your customers for many years to come.
