If You Are Not Earning an Income Online Here Are Possible Reasons Why Not
Whatever kind of website or blog you have makes no difference if you are not earning an income online from it. There are a number of things that online marketers concentrate on when trying to make money online, such as how many blog comments they receive, how much traffic they are getting and the number of subscribers they have on their email list. Although all of these things are important there are really only a few reasons why you are not earning an income online.
a). Little to No Traffic
It makes absolutely no difference how great you are at promoting your product if no one sees it. So long as your website is not getting traffic it will be impossible for you to make sales and without sales there is no money. So the first step is for you to discover where your target audience is and ensure that they are getting access to your landing page or your blog.
There are a few different methods that you can use to begin generating traffic but the problem may involve a little more insight than that. To begin generating the right kind of traffic you must first learn how to build your audience and in order to do this you need to find out where your target market is and how best to get them to visit your website.
b). You are Not Getting Any Leads
If you are getting traffic to your site then the then next thing to look at for why you are not earning an income could be that you are not managing to convert this traffic into leads. Basically this boils down to the fact that you are getting a whole lot of people to visit your website, but once they are there they fail to do anything and they also don’t come back a second time.
Usually this means that you have not managed to grab their attention. A possible reason could be that your site needs better content and you need to draw there attention more effectively to your email subscription page. Don’t for one minute think just getting them to visit your website will automatically mean that they will take action, you must find out why your visitors are not converting into subscribers or customers and then do something to rectify the situation.
c). You Have No Customers
If you are generating traffic to your website and building an email list but still not earning any money, then the problem is that you are not converting any of your website visitors into customers. There are a number of possible reasons why this is happening and one of the most common reasons is that you are trying to sell them what they need instead of what they want. There are people that just won’t buy things even when they know that they need it, but they will willingly buy something they want even if in the end they get nothing out of it.
An important point is to always remember to ask for the sale. If you want somebody to purchase something from you then you will need to ask them to do so, don’t ever assume that they will take the action you want from them on their own.
The really difficult part is getting a prospective customer to make the first purchase, after that the subsequent sales to them becomes much easier as they get to know and trust you. In any business whether it is online or offline the success depends on repeat customers.
