Although it costs a great deal less to start an online home based business than it does to for a bricks and mortar type of business many people give up before they reach success for the simple reason that they run out of money before they ever make a sale.

This really not necessary as there are many different ways to make money online that you could then use to finance your business, before you have learned properly how to make it work and you begin to make sales. In this article we are going to discuss just one of the methods you could use.

We are not going to discuss doing online surveys or typing jobs (although these are also methods that can be used). What we are going to talk about today is writing and submitting articles to distributors who are willing to pay you for them. This is certainly a more preferable way, and although it will not make you rich, it will definitely help you to keep your head above water until your business is making a profit.

There are number of websites that will pay you when your article are published by them, and below are just a few of them. A search on Google will probably give many other choices as well.

Below are just 3 of the sites that will pay for articles, but there are many more available:

1.  Freelance Writing – www.freelancewriting.com
There are hundreds of links on the home page. All of them pertain to writing and writers, and what is more you do not even need to register. At the top of the page is a link saying “freelance jobs” Just click on it and it will take you to a page with thousands of jobs in various categories. Any topic that you want to write in will be available there. With the amount of resources here you should easily be able to make $300 – $500 per month.

2.  Associated Content – . http://www.associatedcontent.com/

You will be able on this site to earn an extra income every time your article gets published. Once they accept your article, they will then offer you a fee which you have the option to accept or not. They  will pay you directly into your Paypal account anywhere between  $3 – $10 per article.

3.  eHow – http://ehow.com

This is another article directory that pays for articles that are submitted. Unfortunately it is only open to US residents. They will also pay directly into Your Paypal account.

Hopefully this will give you some idea of what you can actually do to earn extra income, and by submitting articles regularly to these various websites you will certainly be able to cover the cost of running your online home based business without putting any strain on your personal budget. This will then give you the opportunity to build your business and begin making sales without the pressure of having to quit because you have run out of money.
