There are many, many people who are working on the internet today and are trying to build online businesses as internet marketers. The problem that they face is that they are doing this part time, while still working in a full time job.

It is not something that is impossible to do, provided that they learn to focus on what is required and then manage their time effectively. If you are one of these people here are some tips on how to set yourself up so that you can achieve your goals.

1.  You need first of all to understand how you can leverage your time. Remember that the internet operates twenty-four hours a day seven days a week. Even when you are sleeping the internet is not.

You can begin leveraging your time by creating numerous different methods of attracting traffic to your website. Traffic that will continue to grow on an ongoing basis for a long time to come. In order to do this you will need to build back-links to your website and there are various ways of doing this, such as blogging, social networking and one of the best article marketing.

2.  It is extremely easy to become distracted when working on the internet. You may think that you are working but if you don’t stay focused on what you need to do, you will find that time passes and there you are surfing or playing games instead of completing the tasks that will build your online business.

3.  Make a daily to do list and set it up in order of priority. Start with the most important task, even if it is one you don’t enjoy doing, get it done first and then move on to the next task.

As you work your way through your to do list and complete each task, you will find that your energy actually increases and you feel more and more empowered.  There is nothing like accomplishment to make you feel great.

4. Set up your home office and let all your family and friends know that when you are in your office you are working, even if you are at home. This time is not available to them other than for emergencies. They will learn to take your work seriously if you take it seriously yourself.

5.  Set goals and regularly run checks and balances to see if you are achieving the goals that you have set for yourself. Hold yourself accountable even if it is only to yourself, and you will find that by following this course you will enjoy the successes that you have.
